Celebrating 50 years of Steel & Alloy
This year, Steel & Alloy will be marking 50 years in business. Since its inception by David Ashwell in 1968, Steel & Alloy has been built upon his sound principles of Quality and Service, but at the same time striving to add value to the automotive supply chain. On the 14th June 2018, the company is celebrating five decades in business with a unique event bringing together customers and suppliers that have contributed to the business sustaining profitable growth over the years.
Coinciding with this celebration, we will also be officially opening the new state of the art production facility at Popes Lane, Oldbury. This significant investment will not only create dozens of new employment opportunities, but will also allow Steel & Alloy to meet the growing and varied needs of the automotive industry into the future.
The UK's Largest Independent Steel Processor
Steel & Alloy is the largest independent automotive flat carbon steel processor in the UK.
In 1968 when David Ashwell set out his objectives for Steel & Alloy, he was determined to build a company which would provide a vital link in the supply chain between steel mills and automotive industry, adding value to the products both by the processes we apply and the level of service we offer. Now four decades on, we are a company which, as well as being a key supplier of strip mill products to the automotive industry, also offers an extension of our customers’ manufacturing and distribution resources. The fact we have been accepted in this role demonstrates a level of confidence between customer and supplier, gained by experience, trust and an overwhelming commitment to try and exceed our partners’ expectations.
